I saw this more then once when I posted and kept the thread open in the browser after a while 1+ response/s from another thread showed up.
The last one was in

new post that showed up below
https://genarchivist.com/showthread.php?...34#pid9334 AncestryDNA > New update (2023)

See screenshot how this shows in the browser (Firefox in this case)

I have had this error too (But in other thread).

It trolled me because when it happened to me I thought the thread had more responses and was interesting for the users and I was excited lol

It is a known error, I hope to get it fixed tomorrow.

When I hibernate the system with Firefox browser and genarchivist thread open and then reopen the system I just saw two posts from another topic below a thread, so this error seems still present.

I will have to hire someone with more technical skills to solve that problem...

It is not the biggest problem. At this point I'm wondering if it is a general problem on MyBB installations or occuring just in the genarchivist hosting setup.

Is it possible to remove the quotes from the post a user is quoting by default? Currently, if the user doesn't delete the quote from the previous quote, you get kind of a whole string of posts which bloats the whole debate. In many fora the previous quotes disappear when quoting the writer. Could that be done here too?

If you like you can just delete the quote before sending your comment. Similar to what I’ve done to your quote above (a partial deletion). Edit: I’m not sure I’d want that as a default feature.

Its quite a lot of extra-deleting especially if there is such a string of quotations in the response you want to quote yourself.

Perhaps, they can limit the number of quotes included or have an option to remove all quotes before sending. Maybe Albruic has an idea.

Another minor issue I’ve notice lately, is that the Last Post links are no longer sending me to the last post in the thread. Sometimes is sends me to the first post in the thread, or to the middle of the thread and sometimes, just to the last page of the thread. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

I changed the number of quoted posts from 5 to 3. Let's see how it goes

I have noticed that the buttons sometimes disappear and I have to refresh the page to get them back again. Perhaps, that’s what’s happening to Jalisciense
