I had a similar thought: Gena or GenA
The girl's name Gena is a form of Eugenia and means "noble aristocrat" or "juniper tree." It's of Greek origin. In Italian, Gena means "queen." Gena is also a form of the Old French name Geneva, which is also the name of the Swiss city. It can also be used as a diminutive of the name Regina. Notable figures with this name include actress Gena Rowlands and Gena Branscombe, a Canadian composer.

Edit Reason: Dark, Screen, smaller
)
Here the tweak: DNA-Strang cleaner, claws a little more pleasing, Headline border less dominant.
The size is the same as it will be at the top in the site here (658x205 px), I just added borders so it is more pleasing to watch.
For now I kept the subtext but I'm open to change if there is a preference or a call to do so by the Admins.
The Logo should also work on a Black/Dark (background) theme, but would need some slight tweaking to improve (Headline color bright, Black border some dark brown instead).
658x205 px
I also tried a Website Screen Test how it would look like. Maybe some (including me) would prefer the owl to be a little smaller and so less dominant...
EDIT: More spacing, smaller owl and text, not sure if proportions are spot on, but I think it might work better.

Out of interest I did let AI create some variations. They are not very close to my design and the claws and DNA helix are gone, but I find them interesting, be it just to enjoy their more tribal style.

I think Microsoft Bing Image Creator (DALL·E 3) is the same engine. DALL·E 3 seems one of the best free models (image generation with Microsoft Rewards).
