The latest I found out, the brother of my ggggfather on the paternal line (from the XIX century). I definitely carry the yDNA of his brother, presumably his too.

My Great-Great Grandmother 1862.  This is a hand colored tintype. I wish it had not been hand tinted but it does make the picture unique.  Taken at the time of the war between the states.

Her husband "Great-Great Grandfather" was a pastor and volunteered for service in the Confederate Army.  He served in the Confederate Tennessee 7th Cavalry "Duckworths" H company, General Nathan Bedford Forrest command. He survived the war and continued to preach until his untimely death,  just 6 months after my Great-Grandfather was born.

Someone posted this picture in my Family Search tree. My oldest paternal great-uncle with his wife. This is the first picture I have from someone in my paternal line that is not my father.

One of my great great grandfathers, who was born in Gloucestershire in 1866 and died in Lancashire in 1945. I'm not sure when the photo was taken.

This is not a picture of an ancestor, but my Y-DNA great grandfather, whose photo appears in the post just before this one, built this house in 1919 at 202 South Hennessey Street in New Orleans. The house is still standing, and, as far as I can tell, is in great shape. The photo below is fairly recent.

These are ancestors from my paternal grandmother's side of the family. The photo was taken around 1917 and includes my 2x great grandfather born about 1847 (the old man with the sideburns). To the right is his daughter and my great grandmother born 1891 holding her baby. To the right of her is her mother and my 2x great grandmother born 1853. To the right of her is my great grandfather and her son-in-law born 1878.

The house where my mum grew up is the same house that my 2x great grandfather lived in.
