An attempt at deep West Eurasian phylogeny
Wave2 is not recent, as having mixed into BK and Ust-Ishim must have been in Europe by 45kbp.
First the Near East starts with Basal, one subset of Basal heads to Europe and develops into 'crown Eurasians'. No second migration for Iran needed, they are just (largely) the basal that stayed behind. And it's not Europeans coming from Asia, it's Asians coming from Europe. That is how it functions in that model, but there are other models.
I'm interesting in exploring all possible models if you have an alternative.
