my two cent on the issue:

first phase: Neronian and Bohnucian were zlaty kuhn like
second phase: Bacho Kiro/Oase like
third phase: fully west eurasian that is proto aurignacian like in the west more admixed with phase 2 folks and in the east more fully aurignacian

Interesting article. That's what I think the author was suggesting also.
The question then is, from what phase roughly did Ust-Ishim and East-Eurasians come from?
Phase 2 maybe given autosomal and uniparental link with BachoKiro?

And one part of the puzzle that always, well, puzzles me... the Goyet/Fournol and Ust_Ishim connection.
It's not super strong, but it's too consistent to be chance.
Highest affinities of ancient samples to Ust-Ishim in form F3: Mbuti Ust-Ishim X
1) GoyetQ116_1: 0.2485
2) Fournol: 0.2479
3) GER003 - Girona: 0.2468
4) Liangdao: 0.2463
5) MLZ005 - Solutrean with ~10% modern contamination, without that MLZ005 would easily make at least 4th place: 0.2462
There are 7 others above 0.2450, most East Eurasians are in the low 0.24 range (a quick tally of the average puts about 0.2415)
