Think users have a limited time frame to edit it. I'll see if I can find that duration.

In the interim, I changed it for you.

Thank you! Is editing a post also time sensitive? Because I am noticing I cant edit some of my posts which I made mistakes in, but other posts I can edit

Yes, members have 60 minutes for editing posts, after that you must contact a moderator.

Oh...that sucks. A lot of (unnecessary) extra work for the mods

Albruic just changed it to 12 hours after we chatted on it. We can dial it in as we move forward.

Cool, thanks! Personalty not fond of having any limits but maybe 24 hours to 7 days would be okay. Can we do a community poll to get a consensus of what people prefare?

I would also be inclined to prefer 36 to 72 hours, as the not so active members may not check in and do revisions more then once a day.
If it is visible that a edit was made, even better if edit history can be activated/viewed, I think it should be ok and less small edit PM necessary.

For what it’s worth, I would prefer being able to edit my posts as long as reasonably possible. That’s one of the things I like about the first GenArchivist platform. There doesn't appear to be any limits over there.

Let's wait and see how members use that functionality. I just don't want people using it in a harmful way..

Navigate to the subforum you want, above all threads you will see a "Post Thread" button.
