Greek Jewish Y-DNA
#1
Which as far as I know are the oldest Jewish community in Europe. According to FTDNA. Sample size 133.

*Dating back as far as the Hellenistic period, I believe.

Y-DNA macrogroup QR is around 33.3% in the Romaniote. Which in turn total K* is around 44.4% of the total Romaniote sample. Like Mizrahim macrogroup K* is in the 45 percentage point. J is 22.2%. Like Sephardim at 26.

Pure Neolithic haplogroups E and G make up 33.3 of the total 133 sample.

Figure 11.1 Q* are 100% of part subclade Q1a-L330 to note. Unlike Q1b-M378 for most Western Jews.

One of the R1b clades look to be under R1b L21>DF13> Z39589>Z251>> FGC13899. Confirms there where Celtic adjacent clades [In Western Jews] even before migration West of Europe. I suspect the incursion is provided via admixture of the Gauls of Turkey AKA Galatians. https://www.yfull.com/tree/R-Y7624/

Greek Jewish communities mixed with Sephardic Jews, who are known to carry some western European lineages. Nothing to do with Galatians..

Sure, it may even be a mix of both, a mix of Galatians, Italians, give or take some Visigoths into Sephardim. Just to say it has nothing to do with Galatians lacks critical thinking IMHO and not taking into consideration of the circumstances of the Hellenistic Jews (who were proselytizing) and the Galatians who were adopting other cultures. The Ashkenazic R1b-U152-L4 clade doesn’t look to have ties to any Italo-Celtic people going back Early Bronze Age. Rather it has sister clades in Central and South-Eastern Europe which looks like the migration pattern of the Celts. Even then, Mizrahi have R-DF27. Who knows we may even find that Jesus himself was Western Jew-like (which would be cool). If Israel’s rabbinical authorities allow such excavations however. Which they will not. But you can hope.
