Changes in Genetics of Russians
#1
Hi,

As an Indian, I am surprised to see that people who lived in Russia more than 10000 years ago had some similarity to South Indian Tribals but after about 10000 years ago they lost their similarity to the former.
This could mean that the paleolithic inhabitants of Russia mixed with populations who did not have similarity to South Indian tribals and gradually lost their touch with the South Indian tribals.
It could also mean these paleolithic inhabitants' descendants migrated to the Indian subcontinent and other parts of the world and therefore they are similar to numerous populations worldwide today.

That is simply admixture compensating for the lack of drift those populations share with modern populations
