For J2b I rely on Flor/Trojet and Hunter for updates

Interested in all Paragroups older then 7000 BC / 9000 ybp - see 46 Pre-Chalcolithic J-M172 main sub-haplogroups (focus 7000-8000 BC). If I have time I will also update the seldom terminal clades in J2a (position investigation) regarding rare and singular Y-STR Haplotypes.

Not sure if this is the best place to post this but Hunter from Phylogeographer wrote a piece on my haplogroup J2a-M158. A lot of the samples that are referred to are from academic papers that are not on Y-Full/FTDNA.

J2a-M158 by using the 46 Pre-Chalcolithic J-M172 main sub-haplogroups is under
J2a-CTS7683>L26>PF5088>PF5160>L24>Z393>L25>Z7700,F3133 ca. 8200 ybp with 476! subbranches in the current FTDNA Y-DNA Haplotree and ca. 11.8 % of the J2 subbranches, so by no means a seldom subclade but the most common of the 46 Pre-Chalcolithic J-M172 main sub-haplogroups!
For discussions about J2a-M158 please open a new thread or one about Z7700,F3133 subclades
