Spartacus led the Third Servile War also called as Gladiator War or War of Spartacus against Roman Republic. It is believed that he managed to raise the number of rebels to 100k man in arms inside Italy. Eventually Spartacus and his Gallic-Celtic commanders were killed in battle.

Spartacus likely stemmed from Maedi the nomadic Thracian tribe, or Bessi tribe.

Ironically the man who finished off Spartacus (not personally, Spartacus body was never found, but most likely he was killed in the last battle with Crassus army), Marcus Crassus, the richest man in antiquity was killed himself by Parthians by pouring melted gold in his mouth influencing George Martin for the Game of Thrones scene where Khal Drago pours the melted gold on the head of one of Targaryen descendants.

HBO made a TV Show about the story of Spartacus during 2010, although it starts as cringe with silly graphics the show matures quite enough and has a very good storyline (ignoring explicit sexual content and some cringe stuff), it's quite good how the storywriters managed to wrap all together major events yet make it more dramatic for the viewers. Another famous Daco-Thracian was Constantine the Great, the Byzantine Emperor and the man after which Constantinople was named.

His paternal cousin Julian the Apostle made it clear that they stem from Mysians/Moesians a Daco-Thracian tribe in Danube. Clearly Julian the Apostle a philosopher found his ancestors as backwards, Moesians although during EIA were probably by their time advanced they transformed into the most conservative culture in Balkans.
Was "Moesian" simply the Roman name given to the Dardani? Because the Romans didn't want to give the impression that they were battling their long lost cousins of whose tribe descended their supposed Trojan Ancestors in the Aeneid?
