Interesting but still pretty far fetched for me:

EE 53.5%
Germanic 32.5%
Baltic 5%
Danish 5%
English 1.5%
French 1.5%
Breton 1%

Actuality is I’m about 25% French, 32% % EE.

But the components seem correct, glad to see the picked up some Danish - a bit low but better than no Scandinavian. They eliminated the Irish I had as well - way too much at 18%.

It’s a work in progress, we’ll see what my other kits end up with. My grandma should be 100% French similar to LDNA. I’ll be sure to post when the others are updated.

Very bad update for me. The results are so bad that it’s absurd to publish them. No sense.

I will wait the other charges…

Out of the 4 kits I manage, only my dad's has updated so far. Previously he had a very generic result, which was more or less 50/50 "England" and "NW Europe", with an odd 1% Middle Eastern. Now he has a much more satisfying: 44.1% English, 33.4% Dutch, 15.1% Danish, 5.4% French and 2.0% Germanic.

I have to say that's pretty a good fit. His paper trail is approx. 47% English, 26% Dutch, 12.5% Danish, 11% German + minor Irish, Scottish and French.

My 23andMe kit updated, still waiting on my swab test.

Germanic 39.4%
EE 37.8%
Baltic 12.9%
Danish 5.5%
French 2.3%
Breton 2.1%

Better than my Ancestry kit. Seems like they have issues between French German and Scandinavian. Maybe my swab kit will be best ?

Still waiting for my mom and grandparents to update.

Going by what they're saying on the MyHeritage Subreddit, it looks like those who tested on the old chip before April 2019 are getting updated first. The Myheritage CEO had said only testers on the new chip were going to receive the update, but it seems they've had a change of mind. I tested in 2018, so I'm happy about that.

In my humble opinion, a genetic DNA test that tells you the region where your parents and grandparents come from is meaningless, unless you don't know who your closest relatives were. To me it comes out practically Iberian, almost all spanish, also gives me 5% Portuguese (refered to this, is an ancestry that according to my paper trail I do not have).

Before they gave you very random and meaningless ethnicities, and now they soften too much so as not to make mistakes... I think this company was not a reference in ethnic estimation and with this new update it still is not.
